Illustration Project: Rough Sketch and start of Final

We're beginning the illustration portion of the class now, and I couldn't be more excited. The topic of the project makes excited as well.

We're supposed to choose a memory important to us, whether it's positive or negative. I chose a memory that others might call sappy or cliche, but it's a moment I will never forget.

I chose to illustrate the first time my boyfriend told me he loved me. The illustration will consist of my boyfriend and I, but in an anthropomorphized fashion. These characters are based off the both of us, and I have drawn them outside of this scenario many times.

My character is, for lack of better words, a type of dragon. My boyfriend is basically a giant honey badger/bear mix.

It should be noted that there will of course be clothing and absolutely no nudity in the final product.

"Typography" project

Finished up my "Typography" project. The assignment was to hand create the word "typography" using different styled fonts and make as visually pleasing as possible. I ended up with a C, which I believe was a fair grade.

There were a few smudges and imperfections here and there, and a few my letters were off.

Ryan Reynolds Typography

This was my first project in my Typography class. Using only one type font, we had to create a portrait of a celebrities face. I chose Ryan Reynolds. It's somewhat recognizable, right?

Scissor Logo

Finally managed to bring my camera to snap a photo of my latest Graphic Design/Illustration project.  I chose to use scissors as my object, and then created an angular/pointed design for the logo concept. Overall, I'm very proud of the turn out. The edges are practically flawless, and the basic concept of the scissors are still there.

Haven't Exactly Been Updating D:

I keep forgetting to take pictures of my past projects. So far I've completed two projects for Intro to Graphic Design and Illustration. I've also finished a project in my typography class, and am currently working another one right now.

Once I take decent photos of my past projects, I'll be sure to post them!
